Crush City Infiltrator 3" by Rapala

The Rapala Crush City Infiltrator is a soft plastic swimbait launched in August 2026 that won Best Soft Lure at the AFTA 2026 Awards. It is custom-designed for Australian freshwater and saltwater sportfish. 

Key Features & Design

• Patented FlexLock Technology: Segmented body design that bends easily for a fluid, natural swimming action even at very slow retrieve speeds. 

• Dual Bib System: A front bib creates a speed-responsive "nervous shimmy" that grows more aggressive as you speed up the retrieve, while a rear stabilizing bib improves balance and control. 

• Belly Keel: High-density mineral powder is injected into the belly to act as a keel, keeping the lure upright and steady. 

• Super T.P.E. Material & Scent: Made from durable, buoyant Super T.P.E. and pre-infused with a strong baitfish scent.

Sizes & Packaging

• 3-Inch Model: Comes in packs of 6; ideal for smaller estuary and freshwater species (e.g., bream, flathead, Australian bass). 

• 5-Inch Model: Comes in packs of 2; ideal for larger predators (e.g., barramundi, Murray cod, mangrove jack, jewfish/mulloway).

Fishing Techniques

• Slow Rolling: Keeps the lure working with a subtle roll in the strike zone for tentative fish. 

• Burning Structure: Rapidly retrieves past logs, rock walls, or snags to trigger reaction strikes. 

• Wind-and-Fall / Strolling: Lets the lure sink and swim through deeper water columns or suspend across schools of fish like bass or barramundi.
